Staff Profiles

Jon Henner is known as “that guy with the big nose,” and lives in hot and dry Arizona. He’s a corporate whore, and doesn’t mind admitting it. One of his favorite drunken pastimes is IMing his friends with philosophical conundrums.

Jane Jonas, editor in chief, is an alumna of Gallaudet University and was born and raised in that freaky place, Berkeley, CA. She works in Dupont Circle as a content editor and web designer for a non-profit company. She reads Zagat guides in her spare time.

Ben Moore, former webmaster, was supposed to graduate a long time ago. He didn’t, for whatever reason. He writes for DeafDC.com in his spare time, despite the EIC’s pleas to submit an article for this paltry website. He is also the Tower Clock Editor in Chief, whatever that means.

Megan Malzkuhn is a proud Californicator, and is a current Gallaudet student. She has a dog that will bite your hand if you say the words, “Jane Kelleher,” and barks when you say “Protest!” Smart dog.

Eric Mathers is a hearing student in the Linguistics Masters program at the University of Florida. Not much can be said about him, because we don’t know him. He loves Deaf people.

Todd Newman has been in and out of Kendall Green since 1994. He lives in Frederick, MD and spends a lot of time running after his three ADHD kids. Todd enjoys the little things in life, such as a Five Guys hamburger and a league softball game or two.

Tara Schupner was a student at Gallaudet for 18 months, and graduated from Kansas University. She lives in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. She straddles horses and disciplines her dog, Brewster, in her spare time.

Carrie Suggs is from Manassas, Virginia, and isn’t related to any of the Bobbits. She has a four-year old who enjoys playing in mud. Her hair color changes every two months, and her cats’ names are Wasabi and Magnus.

Josh Weinstock is a sophomore at Gallaudet, and is still struggling to get over the trauma of his freshman year. When he’s not standing at the front gates, he brings his red afro to new heights and cracks jokes that aren’t that funny.

Tim Woodford, assistant editor, is set to graduate this May. This tattooed feller from Florida has pierced ears and a weakness for kittens. He draws comics and placates his red-headed girlfriend in his spare time.
